FIRED UP! My Journey From Fire Setter
To Fire Captain To Humble Servant
In this memoir, John Saltee gives the reader a rare glimpse into a life transformed. As a prideful captain on the Los Angeles City Fire Department (LAFD), John came face to face with his worst enemy, himself. After surgery from a severe back injury, he was forced to retire from the LAFD he once loved.
In 2010, John obtained his master’s degree and was hired as the Executive Director of the Ventura County Rescue Mission, helping homeless and addicted individuals to become contributing members of society.
Fired Up! is a true story of a life radically changed and that change was caused by One Person.
